School Board Meeting, Monday May 11, 2020

Pursuant to RSA 91-A:2 IIIb and the Governor’s Declaration of a State of Emergency on March 13, 2020 via Executive Order 2020-04, this meeting will be called to order as an emergency meeting. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the need for social distancing, we will not have a physical quorum. School Board members are participating electronically. Provisions for watching on TV and providing comments prior to the start of the meeting have been made for public participation.

Citizen participation can occur in two ways: 1. Submit your written comments to the School Board using this link: School Board Comments and Questions Form 2. Comment live during the meeting via the dial in number that will be shown on the screen during the public comment portion of the meeting (Comcast Ch23 and BCTV Ch23) If you wish to speak, please do the following when called on to speak (you will be identified by the last digits of your phone number): ? *6 to unmute your phone ? State your name, and address before you start with your comment. Additionally, email comments may be sent directly to the School Board at bedfordschoolboard@sau25.net ? School Board Comments and Questions Form The following procedures pertain to public participation at Board meetings: – Written or oral statements can take up to 2 to 3 minutes per speaker. – An individual desiring to speak shall give his/her name, address, and the group, if any, that is represented. – The School Board will not hear personal complaints of school personnel nor against any person connected with the school system. – Unless an answer to a question is provided in the Board’s written policies or in established regulations, the Board will not respond to the request at the same meeting, nor will it take action on a proposed recommendation, but shall defer the item to a later meeting.

Superintendent Fournier will bring back Draft policy JICH for another review with additional revisions including a long term suspension agreement.

Superintendent Fournier will update the Board on the Planned Retirement Committee’s progress.

Superintendent Fournier will give the Board an update on End of Year Planning for the District.
