The Joint Office of Energy and Transportation was created through the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL) to facilitate collaboration between the U.S. Department of Energy and the U.S. Department of transportation $7B is been allotted for building car charges. It is possible that a non-profit like a town can get chargers 100% paid for by this plan.
